After the first round loss to the Cleveland Browns, rumors started floating around Pouncey was considering retirement. As of today, those rumors have come to fruition.
In Pouncey’s 11 seasons, all with the Steelers, he was voted to 9 pro bowls and 3 first team all pros. Pouncey was also voted to the 2010 All-Decade’s team. It is a sad day for both the team and fans, as Pouncey has been a stalwart on the offense, always boosting the play of the line, and was their undisputed leader. We wish Maurkice all the best, and thank him for all the years of high level play, and embodying what it means to be a Pittsburgh Steeler.
