The Pittsburgh Steelers released undrafted rookie Trevon Mason yesterday. Mason was signed to the team after being invited to rookie mini camp in the May. Now they're apparently looking to sign a pass rusher from the free agent market to fill that roster spot.

The Steelers are working out several pass rushers, per sources - Wyatt Ray, Ifeadi Odenigbo and Trent Harris. Pittsburgh should have a roster spot open after a release last week and could sign one of these three.

Ray spent last season with the Cincinnati Bengals, and the year before that with the Tennessee Titans. He bounced around a few practice squads prior to that after coming into the league as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns. He has 3 career sacks.
Odenigbo is a name some might recognize. He spent last season with the Browns and played in only 9 games. In 2020 he had his best season as a pro starting 15 games for the Minnesota Vikings. He has 10.5 career sacks. He was a 7th round pick by the Vikings in 2017.
Harris was an undrafted free agent signee of the New England Patriots back in 2018. He spent the past two seasons with the New York Giants but only appeared in 8 games over two seasons.
