In the Pittsburgh Steelers community, it is widely known that they haven't had a losing season since 2003. However, not everyone seems to understand how impressive that is. The Steelers now have 17 straight seasons without a losing record, and in a tweet posted yesterday by reporter Warren Sharp, it was shown that the next such streak isn't even close.

The next closest team is the Seattle Seahawks at nine seasons, and that eight year gap is insane. The list also shows that there are only three teams in the entire NFL with a streak that is more than five seasons.
Interestingly enough, this streak also perfectly coincides with Ben Roethlisberger's career. Since being drafted in 2004, the future Hall of Fame quarterback has managed to keep the Steelers with a record of .500 or better in each season. This stat says as much about the Roethlisberger's success as it does about the Steelers organization.
There have been talks about the Steelers lack of recent success in the playoffs, as well as several media members expecting a down year in Pittsburgh.
The lack of playoff success hurts, but being in the conversation year after year is the first step to eventual playoff success. And to the media members writing the Steelers off, keep going with it for the clicks as it will only help fuel the fire under an extremely talented team.
Whether or not you are happy as a fan of the direction of the Steelers are headed, there is no doubt that the fans of the Steelers have had it best over almost the last two decades.
