The Pittsburgh Steelers have brought back a familiar face. That's right, former punter Jordan Berry is back. According to Steelers beat reporter Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Berry has been signed to the team's practice squad, as starter Pressley Harvin III is dealing with hip inflammation.Steelers punter Pressley Harvin III

After a difficult rookie season, Harvin has shown some massive improvements three games into his sophomore campaign. The Georgia Tech 47.4 yards per puntproduct has averaged on 17 attempts, including a booming 69-yard one in Week 2 against the New England Patriots. It's unclear what the injury is, but his status for Sunday's contest against the New York Jets is clearly in doubt.

Berry spent six seasons in Pittsburgh, which featured several ups and downs. After the 2020 season, it was obvious that the black and gold were going to try and find a reinforcement. The team picked Harvin in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Harvin then beat out Berry for the starting job in camp, meaning Berry's tenure in Pittsburgh (for the time being) was over.

The veteran then played 17 games for the Minnesota Vikings last season and actually did quite well. Unfortunately for him, he lost the job to Ryan Wright in training camp. As a result, the Vikings released Berry in August when rosters were cut down to 80 players.

Hopefully for Steelers fans, the team won't have to worry about using Berry. No offense to the veteran, but Harvin has been quite good in 2022. It would be nice to see the sophomore continue to grow and evolve, as he continues to improve from 2021.

What have you guys thought of Harvin's performance so far in 2022? What are your thoughts on the team bringing back a familiar face in Berry? Share your thoughts in the comment section below, as well as on our social media sites!
