It's pretty fair to say that this Pittsburgh Steelers season has not gone the way we expected it to. However, with the numerous injuries that have haunted them this season, they have still managed to battle their way into the second Wildcard spot with four games to play. A lot of this success has to do with 2nd round draft pick, James Washington. Washington has had a big role in the previous couple of games because of the injury to the Steelers star receiver, Juju Smith-Schuster. In his last four games, Washington has caught three touchdowns and racked up 348 receiving yards. To me, this is something that we, as fans, have been waiting for. He was touted as a deep threat coming out of college, and as of late, he is living up to that hype. He has the ability to make game changing plays every time he steps on the field.
In a redemption game against the Cleveland Browns, Washington came to play, catching 4 passes for 111 yards and one heck of a touchdown. The Steelers are going to need to continue to utilize his downfield abilities to maintain a balance in the offense.
Feel free to leave a comment about Washington and how you think the rest of his season is going to turnout!
