Late in the 4th quarter on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers were in perfect position to kick a field goal on 4th and 1, potentially going up two possessions on the Dallas Cowboys. Instead of bringing in kicker, Chris Boswell with around :43 seconds left in regulation, head coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers elected to run the ball with James Conner at the Cowboys 15-yard line. Unfortunately, Conner was tackled behind the line of scrimmage for a four-yard loss and it became a turnover on downs. When asked about the decision, Tomlin responded:

"We had struggled so much with our field goal group early in the game, I just didn't feel good about it," said Tomlin. "They were beating us to the punch pretty much for the better part of the day in special teams. We missed the extra point. They blocked the field goal attempt. We skyed a kick trying to pin them down in the territory and they flipped the field with a big kick return." He continued. "I had just seen enough from them in teams. I have a great deal of confidence in our short yardage abilities. Obviously, it didn't work out for us there."

Thoughts on the call? Should the Steelers have just brought in Boswell again? Or did Tomlin make the right call (just an unfortunate outcome)? Sound off in the comments below!
