The defensive tackle originally signed a 3-year, $40.5 million deal with the Chicago Bears back in March. A failed physical led to the Bears rescinding their offer and Ogunjobi putting pen to paper with the Steelers just yesterday. According to a report from Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette the Steelers expect Ogunjobi to be ready for training camp. As it was believed Ogunjobi had lisfrac surgery in January.
Ogunjobi played his first four seasons with the Browns and went on to play for the Bengals on a one year contract in 2021. He has missed just five games in his NFL career, but is coming off of foot surgery. Per Rapoport, his foot has healed and he is ready to go.

Ogunjobi had a career high seven sacks last season with the Bengals and will look to improve on his 2021 success. Five of his seven sacks came against AFC foes including a 1.5 sack performance against the Baltimore Ravens.
It remains to be known which part of the deal is guaranteed and what is base is. It will be interesting to see exactly what the incentives are. Those details will be released soon and we will have the update here at Steelers Nation.
