The details have now started to come out on the Pittsburgh Steelers' free agent signings on Monday.
We covered the breakdown of Mitchell Trubisky's contract here.
Now, first let's talk about Chuks Okorafor who signed a three-year $29 million dollar contract. It breaks down like this:
2022 Cap hit - $4.3m
2023 Cap hit - $13m
2024 Cap hit - $11.8m
He receives a $9.25m signing bonus. The Steelers tossed in some roster bonuses that start kicking in for the last two seasons of the deal.
Steelers' deal for Chukwuma Okorafor three years, $29.25M deal, $9.25M signing bonus, salaries $1.25M, $6M, $4.75M; $4M roster bonus 5th day of 2023, $4M 5th day 2024 lg year roster bonus

So the Steelers can dump Okorafor IF he doesn't prove himself in 2022. If he does prove himself, he will be paid like one in 2023, and 2024.
Newly signed center/guard Mason Cole also inked a three-year contract. It's worth $15.75 million. He will receive $11m in the first two years of the deal.
Stay tuned on Cole, as a better breakdown should come soon and we will keep you updated here.
