The Pittsburgh Steelers just wrapped up the 2022 NFL Draft just a few weeks ago, but that hasn't ended the work for the team's Pro Scouting Coordinator, Brandon Hunt. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports on Tuesday that Hunt has interviewed with the Buffalo Bills for the team's assistant GM position.
#Bills GM Brandon Beane interviewed #Steelers Pro Scouting Coordinator Brandon Hunt for the vacant assistant GM job formerly held by Joe Schoen, source said. Hunt, who is well-regarded, is also in the mix for the Steelers GM job.

The Steelers likely aren't surprised by this interview, as Hunt has now had three outside interviews this off-season. Hunt originally interviewed for the Las Vegas Raiders' GM position, which is now filled. He also interviewed for a spot in the Philadelphia Eagles' front office, and may still be in contention for a role there with the team. The Bills are now officially added as a potential suitor his services also.

Also, that list doesn't include the possibility of Hunt being the potential replacement for current Steelers' GM Kevin Colbert. He has been interviewed twice by the team to be their future GM this off-season, and the team is likely to announce their decision in the coming weeks with Colbert reportedly leaving at the end of the month, officially.
These interviews for Hunt are likely to prepare himself for life outside of Pittsburgh if he doesn't get the Steelers' GM job, as he wouldn't be in line for that promotion internally for several years if he were to be passed over this off-season. Other organizations around the league have recognized Hunt as a valuable asset, and he wouldn't have a hard time finding a promotion elsewhere.
Hunt has been in his current role with the Steelers since 2010.
Let us know what you think about Hunt as a candidate to replace Colbert, and what your thoughts would be if he were to find a job elsewhere!
