The Pittsburgh Steelers have elevated defensive end Taco Charlton from the practice squad to the active roster:
We have elevated DE Taco Charlton to the Active/Inactive roster from the practice squad.

After Sunday’s game with Cleveland, Charlton will automatically revert to the practice squad without having to pass through waivers.
Charlton was signed to the Steelers practice squad in late September. He has yet to make an appearance on the active roster until now. Charlton was drafted the same year as defensive teammate TJ Watt, going two picks before Watt to the Dallas Cowboys.

Charlton has 11 career sacks, 4 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries over a 4 year span. As mentioned before, he has yet to play a game in 2021. Charlton’s elevation is likely due to the doubtful tag placed on Melvin Ingram for Sunday's contest against the Cleveland Browns.
Charlton will look to contribute in any way he can if he dresses up. We look forward to his contributions and to see what he can add to this already volatile defense. Pittsburgh will look to avenge their Wild Card playoff loss last year tomorrow at 1PM ET in Cleveland.
