Memorial Day is upon us and we take a quick look back at former Pittsburgh Steelers' offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva's powerful video message from 2018.

Memorial Day is a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered. We celebrate this day on the last Monday in May. For Villanueva, who fought in Afghanistan as an Army Ranger, this is a special time for him and his family. Watch:
Villanueva attended Army before playing seven seasons in the National Football League. He was a captain and also earned a Bronze Star.
He signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2014, but was waived prior to the start of the regular season in 2014. He then landed in Pittsburgh and was a 2x Pro Bowler before joining the Baltimore Ravens in 2021.
