Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger continues to explore life outside of the NFL post-retirement. This weekend, he's participating in the Liberty National Golf Club Icons Series. The golf tournament features Team USA vs. Team ROTW, which includes other past NFL stars such as Marshall Faulk, Michael Strahan, Michael Vick, Reggie Bush, Golden Tate and others as well.

Icons Series

Via their website, Icons Series is best described as "disrupting the golf and sports content space":

"Icons Series is a world-first, innovative new concept in sport and entertainment. We bring together bona fide global icons from world sport, like never before. Relentless competition and unremitting exposure that reveals characters, gives different perspective and a new frontier in entertainment. Icons Series celebrates all that’s great in golf – civility, sporting spirit, and the profound test of skill and wits. But we strive to engage a younger, diverse global audience with punchy competition formats and cutting-edge broadcast outputs.

This is golf — as no-one has seen it before."

Golf Channel was able to catch up with the 40-year-old Roethlisberger and ask him how he was feeling after his series. Just coming off an 18-year NFL Hall of Fame-caliber career, the 2x Super Bowl Champion described his feeling very bluntly. Watch his hilarious response below:

Since retiring after the 2021 season, we've seen Roethlisberger visit the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Penguins, speak at religious retreats, and of course, spend time with his family. Roethlisberger was the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2004, a 6x Pro Bowler, and led the NFL in passing in both 2014 and 2018. The former Miami of Ohio product leaves behind a now extremely young Pittsburgh offense, looking to match the elite level play of their counterpart defense.

We wish Roethlisberger good luck during his Icons Series tournament this weekend and we will continue to keep an eye on No. 7 as he embraces retirement life.
