Steelers QB Kenny Pickett Leads Impressive Touchdown Drive On 1st NFL Possession

When the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Kenny Pickett in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft, the organization expected him to be as efficient as he was on his first career professional drive on Saturday night versus the Seattle Seahawks. Pickett started the second half and had an immediate impact on the offense. Albeit, a preseason game, Pickett looked sharp and promising as he led the offense to a 7-play, 75-yard drive that resulted in him throwing a touchdown pass to fellow rookie, Jaylen Warren.

The Steelers elected to go for two and Pickett found another rookie in Connor Heyward in the front of the end zone for a successful attempt. Pickett was 5/5 on the drive including the conversion and looked like the most NFL-ready quarterback drafted as was originally thought. The drive resulted in the Steelers going ahead 25-17. The coaching staff has some decisions to make as all three quarterbacks had solid evenings on Saturday.
