The Pittsburgh Steelers  just signed their 2022 NFL Draft 1st-round selection, Quarterback Kenny Pickett, yesterday morning. The Steelers' quarterback was the last 2022 1st-rounder to sign their contract.

The former University of Pittsburgh standout has been one of the biggest names to discuss this offseason due to the quarterback battle taking place between he,  Mitch Trubisky, and Mason Rudolph. It's literally been the talk of the town for months, really since the Steelers' drafted the quarterback 20th overall. On an episode premiering yesterday, Pickett and Houston Texans' C Jimmy Morrissey (former Pitt teammates) sat down with hosts Jim Medure and Jake Zilinskas on the Perfect Thursday podcast to talk about adjusting to the NFL and more!

Pickett was asked about his initial feeling of stepping into the NFL and how it compared to the first time at Pitt,

"Yeah, I mean everyone is, I think they're buying into the more like how familiar I am with it, like you guys know like we don't go to the other side of the facility when you play for Pitt. I mean I'm learning a whole new NFL offense, so the only thing I'm familiar with, yeah I'm familiar with the city I've obviously lived here before, but in terms of playing football, like no one really focuses too much on that."

Pickett continued to talk about his mindset going in,

"Like, when you're coming in all you're thinking about is I got to learn this playbook, I got to adjust as fast as I can so I can go out there and play, but it's just different than college. I mean it's everyone's jobs, everyone has families, so you got to go out there and perform because if you don't perform well it affects them and kind of you know you want to climb the roster as fast as you can and play with the best guys and compete.

So there's a lot that goes into it, but I mean I just love playing, so it's just you're playing football and I have great guys on our roster.  You know our team is so pretty pretty tight already, so it's it's been a lot of fun ,so I know camp and Latrobe and being back in dorms would be definitely an experience. I just hope there's some AC in there and we'll be good to go!"
