Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger has been nominated by the team for the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award. This award is presented annually to a player for their on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents, and integrity in competition. This is the 8th annual time this award is being presented in the league.
The award was created in 2014 to honor the founder of the Steelers, Art Rooney Sr., and this is Roethlisberger's first time being nominated!

In his last five games, Roethlisberger, 39, has a near 65% completion percentage, over 1,200 yards passing, 9 touchdowns, and just 2 interceptions. That's good for a passer rating of 97.9 over that span. Roethlisberger has been the victim of tremendous amounts of criticism this season, but continues to show that he still has some gas left in the tank -- despite what the talking heads in the media say about him.
We appreciate you, Big Ben! Congrats on the nomination, and Steeler Nation looks forward to seeing you continue to lead this team the rest of the season!
