With the 2022 NFL Draft concluding the Pittsburgh Steelers will now turn their attention to the undrafted free agent part of the process. So far, the team has confirmed 10 signings, and reports indicate 4 others have been invited to minicamp.
Undrafted free agents are players eligible for the NFL Draft but were not selected; they can negotiate and sign with any team. The Steelers have been pretty good at sniffing out some play makers during the undrafted process.
Donnie Shell, James Harrison, and Willie Parker come to mind.
Jaylen Warren - RB - Oklahoma State - A transfer from Utah State after starting his collegiate career at Snow College. In his one year at Oklahoma St., he rushed for over 1,200 yards and 11 scores earning Big 12 Offensive Newcome of the year. He also had 25 receptions for 225 yards last year. He started 12 games for the Cowboys in his one year there. Projected to go as early as the 6th round or become a priority free agent.

Chris Owens - OL - Alabama - Owens played center at Alabama and is listed at 6'3 305 pounds. Only played in 210 snaps as a redshirt senior starting 3 games. Named to the 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 SEC Academic Honor Roll. Projected as an undrafted free agent.
Mataeo Durant - RB - Duke - He rushed for 2562 yards and 18 touchdowns during his career at Duke. He has some experience playing special teams and could have a chance to make the team there. He made 12 career starts for Duke. Projected to be a priority free agent.
Tyree Johnson - DL - Texas A&M - He had a career-best nine tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks among his 31 total tackles in 2021 as a redshirt senior. He started 9 games. Not considered to be every down player but could be a situational pass rusher in the NFL. Projected to be taken in the 6th round or a priority free agent.
Bryce Watts - CB - UMass - Watts started at Virginia Tech playing in 13 games as a true freshman before starting 12 games a sophomore. He then transferred to North Carolina and sat out a year per NCAA regulations at the time. He then opted out due to COVID-19 in 2020. After 20202 he transferred again to UMass. He had one interception and 43 tackles in 2021. Projected as an undrafted free agent.
Jordan Tucker - OT - UNC - Tucker is massive at 6'7 338 pounds. Played 709 snaps while starting every game for the Tar Heels in 2021. Figures to be a right tackle only in the NFL. Projected as an undrafted free agent.
TD Moultry - Edge - Auburn - He will be a 3-4 outside linebacker for the Steelers. He has a high motor but has a limited tool set as a rusher. Would need to spend a year on the practice squad before he would have a chance to make the team. Projected as an undrafted free agent.
Jake Dixon - OT - Duquesne - Started all 10 games at left tackle, earning First Team All-NEC for the second-straight season after moving to offensive line from tight end prior to 2020. Was recruited by Penn State as a volleyball player. Hes from Bethal Park, PA. Projected as an undrafted free agent.
Donovan Jeter - DL - Michigan - Jeter started 4 games during his career at Michigan. He had zero sacks during his career. He's from Beaver Falls, PA. Projected as an undrafted free agent.
Chris Steele - CB - USC - Steele began his college career at Florida when he enrolled a semester early. But he transferred in the fall before ever playing for the Gators. His roommate at the time was accused of sexual assault. At USC he never lived up to his hype from high school posting his best season in 2020 when he was named a second-team All-Pac-12 selection, starting all six games (26 tackles, one interception, four pass breakups). Projected as a priority free agent.
