Terrell Edmunds Giving Back

author image

It's been a busy month for Pittsburgh Steelers safety, Terrell Edmunds. Along with his brothers Trey and Tremaine, Edmunds recently released a children's book called ''My Brother's Keeper – What This Means to Me''. On Saturday, Edmunds decided to help a "Pack a Truck for Texas" event in McKeesport, PA after his book inspired the My Brother's Keeper Outreach Center. Edmunds and other volunteers ended up packing two trucks full of water, non-perishable food, diapers, baby wipes and personal hygiene items, all set to leave the Pittsburgh area for Houston today.

Renae Johnson, Founder of the outreach center heard about the book and thought it would be a great idea to share the book as a Christmas gift at the end of the year according to Steelers.com.

"It's all about giving back, for me and my family, just because we know we are blessed to be in the position we are in today," said Edmunds. "The more you give back, the more you help people, that is more than anything you can give. All the time, trying to help and give back, is something my family tries to pride ourselves on." - Steelers.com

Texas has been hit heavily with storms over the past few weeks so this act of service was strongly needed. Work like this is inspiring and a reminder to us all to give back when we can. Keep inspiring, Terrell!

More to come.
