Pittsburgh Steelers’ running back Anthony McFarland was placed on IR to begin the season with an unspecified knee injury. He has since been activated, and now told the media that his injury was specifically a torn MCL, per Brooke Pryor:
Steelers RB Anthony McFarland said a torn MCL put him on IR to start the season - said it happened in practice and was partially re-aggravating a college injury. Said he feels good now, though, and trusts his knee.

As stated in the tweet, it was apparently a re-aggravating injury since college. McFarland said it now feels good and he trusts his knee.
He will look to aid Najee Harris and the rest of the running back room build off of their strong performance in the run game this past Sunday. We look forward to McFarland’s return with the team.
