According to a tweet by Teresa Varley, the process of reacquiring Jerald Hawkins and his acclimation to the 2020 Pittsburgh Steelers couldn't be smoother.
Coach Randy Fichtner stated Hawkins came to him and ran three things by him to ask if they still ran those. Fichtner said yes, so Hawkins said, "Then I'm Good!"
OC Randy Fichtner said Jerald Hawkins walked into the building today and ran three things by him and asked if they still ran those. When Fichtner told him yes, he said, 'Then I'm good.'

Hopefully the transition is as smooth as this tweet, because Hawkins is expected to take over the backup swing tackle, as well as the extra tackle eligible role in certain blocking alignments. Take it from Hawkins, he's happy to be back, and so is Steeler Nation!
Feels great to be back in the Burgh!!
