According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger has been pretty vocal about the retirement of longtime teammate, center Maurkice Pouncey. Read below:
Ben Roethlisberger just now about Maurkice Pouncey: "I hate to say he's the greatest teammate and competitor I've ever been around, but at the end of the day that’s what it is – he's the greatest teammate and competitor I've been around. And that’s no slight to anybody else."

Roethlisberger texted with Pouncey Thursday night and said "I didn’t feel right trying to talk him out of it. I'm still processing him retiring. That’s hard for me." Roethlisberger still has not met with Steelers about what they want to do.

Extremely high words from the future Hall of Fame quarterback for Pouncey, and rightfully so.
What are some of yinz favorite memories of Pouncey? Mine's got to be when he stood up for quarterback Mason Rudolph in Cleveland after he was assaulted by Browns DE, Myles Garrett back in 2019. That's the type of teammate you want. Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
