The Pittsburgh Steelers and JuJu Smith-Schuster had many ups and downs throughout his five year tenure with the team. From team MVP in 2018, to being lost for most of the season due to injury in 2021. But it was what Smith-Schuster did off the field that caused the most issues amongst the fan base, and supposedly the locker room.

That off field issue? TikTok. Smith-Schuster boasts 3.5 million followers on TikTok and and has over 50 million 'likes' on the platform. Most of the videos from Smith-Schuster include himself dancing, or trying to do a crazy, and sometimes dangerous stunt to gain views and followers. Once during his time with the Steelers, Smith-Schuster videoed himself attempting the 'crate challenge' one week before the 2021 season opened. The crate challenge is described as this: "The challenge involves stacking milk crates into a structure that resembles a podium, with both sides of the structure functioning as stairs. The participant is expected to climb up to the top of the crates and climb back down without destroying the structure or falling, risking injury."

Smith-Schuster wasn't hurt during the video, but attempting such a dangerous feat right before the season began enraged Steelers fans. But this wasn't the first time Smith-Schuster caught flack for TikTok. During the 2020 season, Smith-Schuster was performing TikTok dances on opposing teams 50-yard lines prior to games. It was all fun and games when the Steelers were 11-0, but as soon as the losing streak started so did the criticism from opposing teams. The rival Bengals said that Smith-Schuster dancing before the game fueled them as they punished Pittsburgh in a horrible loss to back up Ryan Findley.

Now more social media drama (if we have to classify it) was started up today by Smith-Schuster. This time it came on Twitter.

Smith-Schuster's post is obviously referencing the defensive holding call against James Bradberry during Super Bowl 57 on Sunday night. The penalty would set Smith-Schuster's Chiefs up with a first down inside the 15 yard line of the Eagles and a chance to run the clock down inside of 10 seconds and kick the winning field goal. After the game to Bradberry's credit he admitted to pulling on Smith-Schuster's jersey that essentially cost the Eagles the game.

This tweet didn't exactly go over well with one of Bradberry's teammates, though. Eagles receiver AJ Brown sent a nasty reply to JuJu.

"First off congratulations. Y’all deserve it .This is lame. You was on the way out the league before mahomes resurrected your career on your 1 year deal Tik-Tok boy . He admitted that he grabbed you but don’t act like your like that or ever was. But congratulations again!"

Brown is right in one regard. Smith-Schuster did have a solid season hauling in 78 passes for nearly 1000 yards. That's a lot more than last season when he caught 15 from Ben Roethlisberger in 5 games. But the season before that Smith-Schuster had 97 receptions, so he shouldn't act like he really was exiting the NFL. He dealt with an injury last season and has seemed to rebound nicely. Is having one of the best quarterbacks in the league hurting him? No, of course not. But maybe Brown should take his sour grapes somewhere else.
