The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly finalizing a deal to acquire Los Angeles Rams' wide receiver and former Penn State stand out, Allen Robinson. The Steelers will also receive the Rams' seventh-round pick (#251) in exchange for their own seventh-round selection (#234). The addition of Robinson to the Steelers' wide receiver group is absolutely huge. Apart from Diontae Johnson and George Pickens, the team lacked serious depth and were in the market to spend one of their top picks in the 2023 NFL Draft on a wide receiver. Now, the Steelers possess one of the most formidable pass-catching trios in the entire NFL. There is perhaps no happier man in Pittsburgh right now than Kenny Pickett.

Rams' WR, Allen Robinson
Robinson is coming off a down year in terms of production, only totaling 33 receptions for 339 yards and three touchdowns during his lone season with the Rams. He was never quite able to acclimate himself within the offense and often found himself as the odd man out within the offense last year.
However, over the course of his nine-year career, Robinson has been one of the most consistent wide receivers in the league, despite the low-caliber quarterbacks he has played with. He is only two years removed from a season in which he hauled in 102 receptions for 1,250 yards and six touchdowns. The Steelers are undoubtedly banking on him regaining his form and becoming a featured component of the Pickett-lead offense heading in to 2023.

Will The Steelers Still Look In To Drafting A WR During The 2023 NFL Draft?
With Robinson in the fold for next season, the chances of the Steelers spending one of their premium selections on a wide receiver drops significantly. Sorry, Pittsburgh Panthers' fans, Jordan Addison will not be a Steeler, nor will players such as Zay Flowers or Cedric Tillman, In addition to the trio of Robison, Johnson, and Pickens, they also will have 2022 fourth-round pick, Calvin Austin III, set to return from injury after not playing a single snap in 2022.
In all likelihood, these will be your top four receivers going at the start of the 2023 campaign. If all of them can manage to stay healthy, Omar Khan may have just created one of the most dynamic offenses in the history of the Pittsburgh Steelers. With depth at wide receiver taken care of, the Steelers now have one less positional need to address during the 2023 NFL Draft. Positions such as left tackle, cornerback, and defensive tackle now become areas Khan and the front office can look to add to.

Omar Khan Means Business: A Tremendous Offseason For The Steelers' GM
Khan has done an outstanding job this offseason of adding quality players at various positional groups. With less than two weeks to go until the 2023 NFL Draft, many thought the team would wait to make another big-time move to help bolster the roster. However, as he has done this entire offseason, Khan made an aggressive play and added a wide receiver who has the potential to make the Steelers' offense as dangerous as any in the entire NFL. If Khan's belief in this team being able to compete for an AFC North title has not already been made abundantly clear, there is now absolutely no denying that he believes the 2023 Steelers can make some serious noise in an immensely competitive AFC.
With the Steelers still slated to have three picks in the top 50 of the 2023 NFL Draft, Khan has the ability to "put a bow" on a nearly flawless offseason. The front office can devote their entire focus to improving the depth at both offensive and defensive lines in addition to areas of need such as edge rusher and cornerback. One thing is for sure, wide receiver will not be a pressing need. Robinson's ability to play in the slot as well as outside the numbers is just what the Steelers needed to help round out their wide receiver room. Get ready, Steeler Nation. This offense is going to shock the world next season!
