Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, Kenny Pickett has been talked about a lot since his entrance into the NFL. After attending the University of Pittsburgh and coming out of college when Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger retired, Pickett seemed destined to be a Steeler. Colin Cowherd had words to say about Pickett on his show in a recent video.

In this clip from YouTube, Cowherd spoke on the young QB from the beginning until 2:21. The video was in reference to this quote from Pickett.

"The biggest growth for me was mentally. Just understanding of the system... There are so many things I'm going to go through here this offseason in order for me to take that big jump in Year 2, which I'm expecting myself to do. There were so many new things coming in the year that you can't even out into this one interview that you're going through as a rookie QB in the NFL. I just got so much more comfortable from the first day I walked in here to the last day of the season. It's like night and day." - Kenny Pickett via Steelers.com

Steelers' Kenny Pickett (#8) runs for a first down against the New York Jets in Pittsburgh, PA.

Pickett, who has always been confident in his ability, threw for 2,404 yards this season with a 7-9 TD to INT ratio. A young QB who got better as the season went on ending the season on a 3-game win streak and the team winning 6 of their last 7. During that time, he had a 4-1 TD to INT ratio and left the team's only loss against the Baltimore Ravens with a head injury. Cowherd goes on to talk about Pickett and claims he stabilized the franchise. Usually, when a Hall of Fame quarterback leaves an organization, that organization is then left in limbo trying to find the next one man up for at least a few seasons. The Steelers are not going to have that problem with their young rookie.

Steelers QB Kenny Pickett warms up in preparation for a Week 5 game at Buffalo.

Cowherd went on to say the following:

"I think you see a stable organization, a good coach, and a defense even with a wonky offensive line, he can win games. So you went from Big Ben, usually your star quarterback leaves... you're bailing for years on it. The Steelers immediately stabilize an organization when the legend left." - Colin Cowherd via The Herd

Cowherd goes on to say that Pickett's numbers will improve as he gets more comfortable in the NFL. Pickett was drafted as a ready talent with not much upside according to some analysts. Pickett thinks he will take the big step in year two and lead the Steelers organization into the future.
