Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive guard, Ramon Foster answered a question that players do not get asked very often. Football is a violent sport and players are usually asked about that physicality, a terrible loss, or the satisfaction of a major comeback. But the question Foster was asked is, "What was the most fun game you ever played?"

Foster played for the Steelers all 11 seasons he was in the NFL. He was an undrafted free agent out of the University of Tennessee. During his time in Pittsburgh, he became a key member of one of the best offensive lines in Steelers' history. He played with some of the biggest names in black and gold lore during his time on the gridiron - Ben Roethlisberger, Troy Polamalu, and Antonio Brown just to name a few. This makes it no surprise that he has a ton of "fun" memories from his career.

Former Steelers OG Ramon Foster With A Happy Walk Down Memory Lane

During this kind of Twilight Zone during the offseason, let's recall some of the most fun memories from prior games to help bring the positive vibes back into Pittsburgh. This is exactly what Foster did on a recent episode of his DK Pittsburgh Sports podcast, The Ramon Foster Show, which is co-hosted by reporter Dejan Kovacevic

"The Cincinnati combat game was fun because we got an opportunity to just laugh at them fools for just giving up the game and all those penalties. That was fun," said Foster.

The Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals rivalry always leads to an emotional game. The two teams are incredibly passionate, competitive, and physical. For that reason, emotions tend to run high in either direction. Kovacevic recalls this game and said from a reporter's perspective it was an easy night at work.

"Most merciless locker room, it went on forever," laughed Kovacevic. "The great part was nobody had to ask you guys any questions, like reporters are walking around and you're just like seeking them out like, ...and then another thing.'"

Ben Roethlisberger was the quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers for 18 seasons.

The next game he mentions was fun was one where Roethlisberger set an NFL record for being the first player to throw six touchdowns in consecutive games. The first of those two games was against the Indianapolis Colts. The Steelers won 51-34 in a shootout against Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. Roethlisberger was 40 of 49 for 522 yards, six touchdowns, and no interceptions. His passer rating was an exceptional 150.6.

During that game, Roethlisberger did his Oprah Winfrey impression and got everyone the ball - Antonio Brown, Heath Miller, Markus Wheaton, and Martavis Bryant all had touchdowns.

The second of those games was on a cold November night against the Baltimore Ravens. Once again Roethlisberger was on fire and the Steelers won 43-23 against a Ravens team that had only given up seven passing touchdowns the whole season. He completed 23 of 37 passes for 340 yards, six touchdowns, and no interceptions. His passer rating that week was 136.3 and once again he passed the ball around with five different receivers scoring.

Winning is almost always fun and Foster echos that sentiment.

"It was just so fun because there was nothing that he couldn't do and when you can keep them clean and just watch them spin down the field, oh my gosh. Those were fun."

Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers held off the New York Jets on their way to the Super Bowl.

Now the memories are all pouring back for Foster and he also names the New York Jets AFC Championship game at then-Heinz Field. The Jets seemed destined to make the Super Bowl that year, but the Steelers upset their hopes, beating them 24-19. The Steelers started off strong as the Jets floundered. However, they shifted to a conservative prevent mode during the second half just as the Jets got their act together. Fortunately, the defense was able to force a turnover and lockdown the goal line at the end of the game to maintain the lead.

"It was fun, it was a heart attack too though."

Foster said it was always fun when you knew you were in control of the game. He said that was the case against the Arizona Cardinals in October of 2011. The Steelers won that game 32-20. Roethlisberger threw the then longest pass in Pittsburgh's history - a 95-yard bomb to Mike Wallace (that record was broken in 2017)

"We were just lining up, teeing off on guys, telling them, 'Hey, we're about to run the ball right here.' That was fun too," quipped Foster.
