In what's been already an exciting offseason for the Pittsburgh Steelers, General Manager Omar Khan just added to the excitement. Saturday evening, it's been reported by ESPN's Brooke Pryor that the Steel City just landed a former Pro Bowl linebacker to their roster.

Veteran linebacker Kwon Alexander could provide a huge boost to the Steelers' lack of depth at the inside linebacker position.
Kwon Alexander, a former fourth round pick out of LSU in 2015, is headed to Pittsburgh pending a physical. Alexander was originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (making the Pro Bowl in 2017), but also spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, and New York Jets.

That's a key depth piece for a team that added Cole Holcomb and Elandon Roberts in a free agency overhaul of the ILB position.
Can Alexander Be An Upgrade At Middle Linebacker For The Steelers?
At 6'1", 227 pounds, Alexander has played 95 total games in his career. In that experience, he has totaled 12.5 sacks, 413 solo tackles, and 11 forced fumbles. His best season came in 2017 where he collected 70 solo tackles and 3 interceptions.
With the Steelers already adding Cole Holcomb and Elandon Roberts earlier this offseason, this move at the very least gives the team some much needed depth at the inside linebacker position. Mark Robinson is another name to lookout for, but with Alexander's experience, that should be an immediate boost to the positional group. Expect Alexander to compete for a starting role as the team continues training camp in Latrobe, PA.
