The Pittsburgh Steelers had a miserable performance in Week 4 against the Houston Texans. After the game, every negative comment conceivable came from everywhere, especially from some former Steelers in their revenge game. Steven Nelson was the first to come out and drag the Steelers through the mud. It was only a matter of time before Kendrick Green would come out firing, especially after his comments before the game about being glad about leaving the Steel City. While he didn't go scorched earth like Nelson did, he did take a subtle shot at the people who wanted him gone.

Just like that, the Steelers have traded both offensive linemen Kendrick Green and Kevin Dotson in the matter of a few days.
The Steelers failed to get a sack on CJ Stroud all day, with Green playing every snap on the offensive line before getting injured late in the fourth quarter. After the game, Green posted some song lyrics on X, implying that he would be back, even though he was never good at the NFL level in the first place. For one game, Green gets to say that he was part of a unit that managed to not be useless.

While the Texans offensive line was great, the question is how much of it was a battered Texans group stepping up as opposed to the Steelers and Mike Tomlin playing down to competition like they love to do? In fact, it seems like Green knows that he might still not actually be good. He knows that after this game, he won't have many chances to brag again.

Green Responds To Steelers Fans
Despite losing, some of Steeler Nation was chirping back at Green for his comments and his terrible time in Pittsburgh. One particular comment stood out, saying that Green won't even be in the league for long. Green responded without any sort of fight. It's almost like he's accepting the fact that he's not good, but he just wants to celebrate his version of a Super Bowl.
That’s cool just let me have today tho

After all the smack he talked for the past couple of years and even being on the high of winning a revenge game in dominating fashion, he still understands that he is not a good offensive lineman and could easily be gone from the NFL soon. The Steelers had no answer for the Texans offensive line, his team showed no mercy on the Steelers, and he still has to plead with fans to lay off of him for one day.

Steelers offensive lineman Kendrick Green has multiple mistakes in the first preseason game of 2023
Green's failures have been well-documented. Whether they are his fault or the fault of the Steelers for forcing him to start on Day 1 at an uncomfortable position is up for debate, but he still didn't help his cause much. The Steelers tried to give him every chance to win a roster spot for 2023, and he threw it away like a snap to Mason Rudolph in the preseason. Steeler Nation was celebrating when the Texans traded for him, even though they only got a sixth-round pick in the process.
