Pittsburgh Steelers legendary quarterback, Terry Bradshaw is known for saying some outlandish things. After he wrapped up his career on the gridiron, he forayed into a variety of other professions including everything from building a family horse breeding empire, to doing analysis of NFL games. He even performs live doing a show that is part comedy and part musical, with a dash of his unique storytelling thrown in for good measure. Now he is using his onstage expertise to throw shade at one of the biggest stars in the universe, Taylor Swift.

The "Swifties" as her fans are referred to, are not going to like this one. Second only to the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard group in their rabid defense of their hero, they will surely come for him. In case you have been living under a rock (lucky you) and have missed Swift making the NFL news of late, here is the story. Swift is supposedly dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. At the recent Chiefs games, the camera has been on her in the booth, next to Kelce's mom, more than it is on quarterback, Patrick Mahomes.
Since this crossover between the glittery, sparkly world that is Swift's and the gritty, muddy, violent world of football has occurred, viewership of Chiefs games has shot way up. Because of the increased focus, she has been a topic of conversation on many football shows recently, including The Herd with Colin Cowherd on which Bradshaw was recently a guest.

Taylor Swift has been attending Kansas City Chiefs games to see her beau Travis Kelce.
Cowherd told Bradshaw it is remarkable how Kelce has been so much better when she is in the stadium. He wondered if Bradshaw thinks that Kelce is showing off for Swift. Bradshaw seems to think she is having a positive influence on Kelce's stat line.
"He faced zone [coverage] yesterday and he should have eaten it up, and he did. I do think had I been married to Tammy [Bradshaw's current wife] when I played my rookie year, I'd have thrown for 96,000 yards and 800 touchdown passes with 10 interceptions."
As for her talent? Bradshaw agrees she's got it in spades, but primarily her songwriting ability has the fans going wild. He said her lyrics resonate with "young people" and they love her. Her voice? She's no Kelly Clarkson said Bradshaw, but she is good.
The four-time Super Bowl champion was then asked by Cowherd how on earth Swift is able to put on these incredibly popular, but long concerts. How can she have the energy to sing and dance for three-plus hours? He isn't so sure she really does.
"Maybe you don't," opined Bradshaw. "You cannot run around a stage and sing live [for three plus hours]. Nobody will probably admit that. I do a show in Branson, I do 20 shows at the Clay Cooper Theatre and if I walk once all the way to the right side of the stage, I have to take a break."
Of course, Swift is 33 and Bradshaw is 75, surely that has an impact. In addition, Swift does a lot of these shows, a whole lot. She is like a conditioned athlete, used to running all over the stage while belting out ballads of love gone wrong, or right.

Former Queen frontman, the late Freddie Mercury (played here by actor Rami Malek), put on hours-long shows, full of energy, before the days of lip-syncing.
Bradshaw said he had only ever seen one performer accomplish this amazing feat. That was the late, great Freddie Mercury of the band Queen.
"He would run everywhere, all live back then, phenomenal, great breath control. And I'm sure Taylor and a lot of these really choreographed shows, a lot of that, they're signing live to tape, so the tape's going on and they're singing and if something happens to the tape, then boom. I'm just guessing."
Cowherd said he lives in L.A. where Swift has six sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium. He marveled at how the fans packed the streets, commenting on how usually people of Los Angeles aren't that "pressed" to get to a show, they have a ton of celebrities all over the place and more music venues than you can count. But everywhere you went during that week, everything, including all the restaurants, was packed with Swifties. It is hard to blame the NFL for wanting a piece of the Swiftie pie.
The Steelers Have Bumped Into Taylor Swift Before
This isn't the first time the Steelers and Swift have come up together in a sentence. Between the 2022 and 2023 seasons, Steelers young quarterback Kenny Pickett was getting married. Pickett and his now wife, Amy Paternoster, are both huge Swifties and are fans of live music in general. Pickett was even seen at the Luke Combs concert earlier this year chugging a beer on stage with the country music star.
Swift, is also a Pennsylvania native, born in West Reading, but growing up in Wyomissing, both Philadelphia suburbs. While it might be the wrong side of the state, yinzers embrace her too and she always packs the house at shows in the commonwealth. Because of her popularity in the Steel City, she did two shows at Acrisure Stadium for her recent Eras Tour, setting a record for attendance with 73,117 fans.
After the Combs beer chugging, the media was asking Pickett about attending the upcoming Swift show. Pickett made no secret of the fact that he and his bride-to-be were sad they were going to have to miss the show. He said the concert conflicted with the date of his upcoming nuptials.
"Sadly, we are [missing it], hope she can forgive us. Maybe we will be at the next one," lamented Pickett.
There surely will be a next time as Swift shows no signs of slowing down. Pickett is fortunate enough to be able to afford tickets to the show which ranged last time, from $1,500 to $9,000. Even with her adding a second show, many fans had to sit outside the stadium and just enjoy eavesdropping.
