The Pittsburgh Steelers have somehow found a way to get to 6-3 heading into their Week 11 matchup against the 6-3 Cleveland Browns. The Steelers have already played the Browns once during the 2023 season (Week 2). The game looked like a lot of hot garbage from both teams, except for the Steelers' defense. Unfortunately, during that game, Browns' star running back, Nick Chubb sustained a season-ending knee injury. Now as the two teams are set to face off again, Chubb has taken to Instagram to hint at a revenge game.

The Cleveland Browns star running back Nick Chubb suffered a season-ending injury during their Week 2 game.
The two bitter AFC rivals met at Acrisure Stadium for a game that felt anything but certain. The Steelers had lost a poorly-played game in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers. After fans rode a wave of euphoria created during their awesome preseason, the resulting crash was devastating. The Cleveland Browns came off a big Week 1 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
One thing was for sure, no one expected Chubb to get hurt. He has been the backbone of the Cleveland offense since the Browns drafted him in the second round in 2018. He has been to four Pro Bowls and amassed 6,511 rushing yards and 48 touchdowns in his career. Chubb was tackled during the second quarter by Steelers safety, Minkah Fitzpatrick after a five-yard gain. The injury was a freak accident, there was nothing "dirty" about the tackle and Fitzpatrick was neither fined nor penalized by the league or the officials.
Now, the Steelers are ready to meet their rivals in Cleveland for their second divisional game and Chubb has posted a photo to his Instagram account that hints at this being a revenge game for the team. The photo simply shows what appears to be Bane carrying Batman's mask.

For those who aren't familiar with the movie the The Dark Knight Rises, Bane is an enemy to Batman. He spent his childhood in prison, suffering for crimes he did not commit. During his time in prison, the super genius becomes a master fighter and develops an intense fear and hatred of bats. He projects all of his blame onto Batman and Gotham, and intends to do him in.
In the movie, The Dark Knight Rises, the two enemies have two epic showdowns. In the first fight, Batman is defeated in a gruesome clash in the sewers. As the rain comes down in torrents we watch the two old opponents face off.

The Dark Knight Rises
The Steelers and Browns are being compared to Dark Knight Rises enemies Batman and Bane, seen here in the first of two fights.
Those who watched know that Batman is not in his prime and is pushing 40 years old. He has been on a hiatus of nearly a decade. This means he was out of shape and out of practice. Bane was able to take advantage of this. He even notes that Batman fights like his younger self with nothing held back. He admires it, but says Batman is wrong to be so reckless.
Bane knocks Batman down and, as he drifts in and out of consciousness, Bane maniacally says he always wondered what he'd break first, "your spirit or your body." Then, he hoists Batman and brutally slams him down over his knee, breaking his back. Before Bane walks away, he bends over and removes Batman's mask from his face and is seen carrying it off.
The supposition is that the Browns are Bane and the Steelers are Batman. The Browns are here to get revenge on their archnemesis and plan to "break their backs" and unmask them as frauds. What Chubb seems to be forgetting is that Batman always wins. In fact, in the movie where Batman's back is broken, he heals and returns to defeat Bane at the end.
Steelers Are Not Facing The Same Old Browns
During that Week 2 game, expectations were high for Browns' quarterback, Deshaun Watson, who finally started a season with the Browns in 2023. The same can be said for Steelers fans and quarterback, Kenny Pickett. Pickett did not start in the 2022 season until Mitch Trubisky was benched, so he has also been getting his first true shot as a full-time starter. Ultimately, no one was really happy. In all, there were five fumbles, two interceptions, and eight sacks. The Steelers were struggling to stop the run even after Chubb left the game.

Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher TJ Watt rumbles towards the end zone during the Steelers' 2023 Week 2 win over the Cleveland Browns.
However, the Steelers' defense performed some miracles and did what the offense was not able to, and that was score touchdowns. Remarkably enough, both edge rushers, TJ Watt and Alex Highsmith took a turnover in for six points. This was enough to give the Steelers the win.
The Steelers' offense has looked haphazard and lopsided most of the season. The team eventually decided to pull Offensive Coordinator Matt Canada down to the sideline. They have also decided to run the ball more and with the rookie, Broderick Jones starting; it actually seems to be working. However, they will be facing what is one of, if not, the best defense in the NFL right now in the Browns.
This game is going to be a nail-biter that will help decide the fate of the two tied teams in the brutal AFC North. While the Steelers have the tiebreaker right now because of their win earlier in Week 2, the Browns are much better all around. This is why they are currently four-point favorites.
At the end of The Dark Knight Rises, Batman recovers from his injury and trains to fight Bane again. He is successful in this second fight because he learns Bane's weakness, his face, and uses it against him. Hopefully, the Steelers know the Browns' weaknesses and can exploit it a second time.

Steelers' Joey Porter Jr. defends a pass against Cleveland Browns receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones during a regular season game in Pittsburgh in 2023.
It's also important to note that Heinz Field was featured in the movie as Bane is seen blowing it up in one of the more intense scenes. The Steelers are traveling to Cleveland, but there seems to be a little bit of an innuendo with this as well in his most recent Instagram post.
What do you think about Chubb's Instagram post? It seems he is a Batman fan given that he has the bat emoji next to his username? Do you think the Browns will be playing for revenge? Click to comment below!
