The Pittsburgh Steelers have experienced a savage December, and the resurgence of Mason Rudolph has breathed new life into their offense. While the Steelers' defense has been their anchor throughout the year, the offense is now showing signs of competence. That competence mixed with the energy the Steelers are currently playing with and a bit of momentum has sparked life into Steelers fans.

Adding to this newfound confidence is Steelers rookie offensive lineman Broderick Jones, who recently posted a message on his Instagram story that sent a clear message to every AFC team. Jones exuded unwavering confidence in the Steelers' potential playoff run.

"Slip up and let us in. We kicking the door down."

While Jones's confidence is admirable, it's essential to recognize that the Steelers find themselves in this situation due to some challenging losses, losing to the Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts. In an ideal scenario, they wouldn't be fighting for a playoff spot in the final week of the season.

Nonetheless, Jones's passion and inspired play on the field have been a significant factor in the Steelers' impressive rushing attack. In their recent game against the Seattle Seahawks, running backs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren combined for a staggering 197 rushing yards and three touchdowns, carrying the offense on their shoulders. The offensive line also deserves credit for providing solid protection for Rudolph. It just feels like the entire offense is playing inspired football.

Will the Steelers make the playoffs?

As the regular season nears its conclusion, the Steelers face a challenging road to the playoffs. They'll need help from other teams and must secure a victory against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday to sneak into the postseason. Despite the obstacles, their playoff odds have improved, fueling optimism among Steeler Nation.

According to Jones's bold statement, should the Steelers secure a postseason berth, they're poised for a significant playoff run. Just a few weeks ago, such a notion might have seemed far-fetched, but the recent resurgence of the team has shifted the narrative.

While other AFC teams may not have been overly concerned about facing the Steelers in the playoffs just a few weeks ago, the current incarnation of the team presents a formidable challenge that Jones believes should grab the attention of opponents across the league. This transformation is evident across multiple facets of their game.

The entire roster appears to be hitting its stride at precisely the right juncture. Players on both sides of the ball are operating at a high level, fostering a sense of cohesion and chemistry that is palpable. The offensive line, in particular, has stepped up by providing crucial protection for Rudolph and creating clear running lanes for the dynamic duo of Harris and Warren. Additionally, the receiving corps, bolstered by the emergence of George Pickens, has evolved into a more potent offensive threat.

As the Steelers continue their battle for a coveted playoff spot, they carry the momentum of two consecutive wins. These victories, coupled with their overall improved performance, have transformed the perception of the team. They are starting to view themselves as legitimate contenders.

As the Steelers and their passionate fan base await the outcome of their playoff destiny, the message from Jones stands as a testament to the team's belief in its ability to make a postseason impact. For the Steelers, it's all about seizing the opportunity and kicking down that playoff door, regardless of the challenges they've faced along the way.
