The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens have been known for their intense rivalry. While it has been heavily one-sided as of late, the trash-talking has been fierce, as players have gone back and forth between the teams. Arthur Maulet left the Steel City on bad terms and playing for their rival has only fueled his hate. Meanwhile, Patrick Queen left Baltimore to chase greener pastures and wear the green dot for the Steelers

Linebacker Patrick Queen leaves the field following a home game with the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium.

Queen has been talking trash since signing with the Steelers, which caught the ire of numerous ex-teammates from Baltimore. He talked about how everything is better in Pittsburgh, including the food. He has completely turned his back on the team that drafted for their most hated rival, and that will just make those matchups even more fun in 2024.

Maulet thinks Queen is out of his mind. After another day of training camp, Maulet spoke to the media about how the team looks, but he made sure to leave a message for Queen, saying that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

"P.Q. [Patrick Queen], we know the food is not better, bro. We know the city is not better, bro. Come on," explained Maulet.

Maulet played for Pittsburgh during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. During his time there, he accumulated 106 total tackles, 1 interception and 2 sacks. Last season in his first year with the Ravens, he totaled 37 tackles, 2 sacks and 1 interception. Meanwhile, Queen made his first Pro Bowl in 2023 with the Ravens, while also being named as a Second Team All-Pro. Now with the Steelers, Queen will look to replicate his success from last season, while also backing up his trash talk about his thoughts on Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore.

Steelers Are Far Less Angry About Players Switching Than Ravens

Queen was a stalworth for the Ravens for four years, as he helped transition the team's defense into a new era of dominance. When the team traded for Roquan Smith, that only brought more fire out of Queen, as the two made a dominant duo. Unfortunately for Baltimore, they could only afford to keep one linebacker around long-term, and they chose Smith. Queen was left out in free agency for the taking.

Meanwhile, Maulet was a slot corner that was fighting for snaps with guys like Tre Norwood. Maulet had been bouncing around from team to team as an undrafted free agent looking for a home. The Steelers were able to utilize his ability to blitz from the slot to their advantage, but in the end, it wasn't enough for the team. Maulet and the front office had a contract dispute, which led to him getting cut and insulting the team on the way out.

Former Steelers slot cornerback Arthur Maulet's biggest strength has always been his physicality in the running game and after the catch.

Maulet had his best statistical season of his career while in Baltimore, while allowing a career-low 55.1% completion percentage on a career-high 49 targets. Even though he doesn't play every snap in Baltimore, it seems like he finally found the home that he had been searching for long before he showed up in Pittsburgh.

Meanwhile, Queen will be expected to help lead this Steelers defense, especially the linebacker core, which has a good mix of veterans and young guns. Payton Wilson has the potential to be the future of the linebacker room. What would be a better way to endear yourself to the city of Pittsburgh by not only developing the next elite linebacker, but being an elite linebacker yourself and showing up the hated Baltimore Ravens?

What do you think about Maulet saying Queen was wrong about everything with the city of Pittsburgh? Who has the better food? Let us know in the comments below or on our social media feeds.
