The Pittsburgh Steelers have had many legendary players throughout the history of the storied franchise, but perhaps there were none more important than Terry Bradshaw. The franchise was struggling until the organization selected him with the first overall pick in the 1970 NFL Draft, and he was a major piece in turning the Steelers into a true dynasty. Bradshaw won four Super Bowls with Pittsburgh during his career, making him one of the most successful quarterbacks to ever play the game.

Bradshaw has kept busy since hanging up the cleats, mainly with broadcasting and being a television personality. He has been a regular cast-member on Fox NFL Sunday for over 20 years, which is where he typically makes tons of headlines. Bradshaw was joined at Fox in 2024 by the only quarterback in NFL history that can say they are more successful than him, Tom Brady. Brady calls games for Fox, but he has appeared a few times in studio with Bradshaw and his former teammates that also work for Fox, Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski.
Edelman and Gronkowski also host a podcast titled Dudes On Dudes, and in the most recent episode, they were discussing Bradshaw. They shared how Bradshaw pulled off an elaborate joke on Brady off-camera, while also discussing how awesome the former Pittsburgh quarterback is to have around.
"I forget the punchline, but all the other guys, Howie [Long], Jimmie [Johnson], Michael [Strahan], they've all heard this d*mn joke," Edelman said. "But he's got Brady on the hook. Brady's sitting there shedding a tear, it's about some dog or something, this dog's dying or something. I forget what the punchline is. Everyone's in on the joke, and Brady is Mr. Emotion, and then Terry drops the punchline."
Edelman and Gronkowski explained more about how Bradshaw was telling a long, fictional, 15-minute story to Brady. Everyone else on the cast had heard the joke, but Brady was completely locked into what Bradshaw was saying. It ended with the punchline, and it completely got Brady.

Bradshaw apparently gets a lot of people with this long and elaborate joke, but it had to feel a little bit better doing it to the only quarterback that has had more success in the NFL than him. There is only one quarterback that has had the same amount of success as Bradshaw, and that is Joe Montana, but Brady is the only one to surpass him. Edelman spoke more about Bradshaw's joke on Brady.
"I'm not doing it any justice by not being able to tell the joke," Edelman said. "But that's the kind of guy Terry is man, he had the whole cast and crew involved in this thing to get Brady. Just to like, let him know he's part of the team. How pissed was Brady too? He got him good. He's such a fun guy to work with."
Bradshaw is oftentimes making headlines for misspeaking on television or looking sickly, but this story from Edelman and Gronkowski should be what everyone focuses on when it comes to the former quarterback. He is still joking around and having fun while doing what he loves, talking about football.

Steelers Legend Has Had Some Worried With Recent Behavior
Bradshaw is currently 76 years old and he has had some struggles when it comes to his health. It's completely understandable that he would misspeak from time to time, and it shouldn't be a big deal. However, earlier in the 2024 season, Bradshaw had a lot of fans worried when he seemed to forget that he had been working with Gronkowski throughout the entire season. Some have questioned whether or not Bradshaw should retire, and that has been a topic of discussion for a couple of years now. His age occasionally affects his analytical skills, and it would probably be the right move for the Hall of Famer to step away.
