The Pittsburgh Steelers are known for having one of the loudest, rowdiest fan bases in the NFL. Whether Pittsburgh is playing at home, or on the road, Steeler Nation will show up and show out. Other teams have tried to combat them by making their own towels to wave that rival the Terrible Towel, but it never works. Whenever the Black and Gold brigade is playing a football game, there will be Steelers fans all over the stadium. In certain road games, there will be more yellow towels than home fans.

Steelers' Terry Bradshaw

Steelers' legend Terry Bradshaw talks about Steel Curtain dynasty with Julian Edelman.

On an episode of Games With Names, host Julian Edelman and Steelers' legend Terry Bradshaw broke down the Immaculate Reception. Even though he got smoked after the pass, he let the fans tell him everything he needed to know.

"I have a couple of Raiders on top of me. I hear the roar of the crowd and while I'm on the ground, I go, 'Well, excuse me for throwing a perfect pass,'" laughed Bradshaw. "'How many commercials am I going to get out of this? I am a hero to millions,' because you knew the roar. You play long enough; you know a roar is a touchdown roar. I'm on the ground, 'S**t, excuse me for being so good.'"

As Bradshaw pointed out, he hit the ground, so he never actually saw what happened. He just took audio cues to figure out what the end result was. Even though he figured out that he threw a touchdown pass, he had no idea it happened the way it did. All he knew was that he won the game and the Raiders players laying on top of and/or next to him had lost.

Steelers Franco Harris

The pass was initially intended for John "Frenchy" Fuqua. However, a collision at the catch point ricocheted the ball back, and Franco Harris picked it up before it hit the ground. The rest is history. The Steelers got their first ever playoff win in franchise history, and the Steel Curtain dynasty was officially born.

There were questions about whether that was a legal catch or not due to the rules of deflections back in that era, but there was no replay review, frame zoom, or any other piece of advanced technology to say that the officials made the wrong call. At the very least, fans told Bradshaw that the play wasn't coming back, even though he didn't know that there was a controversial deflection at the time.

Steelers Fans Will Always Collectively Tell The Team The Truth

Back in the early 1970s, Steeler Nation told Bradshaw that he was a winning quarterback on one of the greatest and most clutch plays in the history of the NFL, if not the single greatest play ever. While they always go crazy for greatness, they will also let the team know when they are not satisfied with everything.

Steelers' Mike Tomlin

Steelers' Mike Tomlin greets fans after a win against the Browns in Week 14

Head Coach Mike Tomlin recently admitted that he has heard the noise of the fans that are angry with his recent performances. While he gave a basic answer that didn't really say much, he at least knows that Steeler Nation has high expectations for him.

His former offensive coordinator, Matt Canada, was relentlessly booed all over the country, whether the Steelers were in town or not. He was seen as one of the worst coordinators in the league, and the fact that Tomlin actually fired him midseason proved how bad he truly was.

In the Steelers' Christmas Day loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, the stadium workers played Renegade to get the crowd going. Unfortunately, Pittsburgh was losing 29-10, and the fans were not happy with it. They booed as the Steelers' traditional song played, as it is usually meant for one-score games, not blowouts where the team looks checked out.

What do you think about the fans telling Bradshaw that the Steelers scored one of the greatest touchdowns ever? Let us know in the comments.
