During a recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show, Pat McAfee and AJ Hawk discussed Rodgers' visit and shared insights into the quarterback's impressions of the Steelers' personnel.

"I do know that he actually really likes all the Pittsburgh staff," said Hawk. "He loves the staff, the front office, everything about Pittsburgh, the people there."

According to recent reports, Rodgers is seeking an environment that mirrors the strong, positive culture he experienced during his tenure with the Green Bay Packers. The Steelers, who are known for their deeply rooted and well-established organizational culture, appear to be a potential fit in this regard. 

This point was further emphasized and reinforced by Hawk, highlighting the undeniable strength of the Steelers' team culture.

"The people there, that's what makes the Steelers the Steelers," Hawk added. 

Despite the widespread speculation and positive reports surrounding Rodgers' potential fit with the Steelers, the lack of an official contract signing continues to cast doubt. Initially, the quarterback's options seemed to narrow down to a choice between the Steelers and the New York Giants. However, the Giants' acquisition of not one, but two quarterbacks—Jameis Winston, formerly on the Cleveland Browns, and Russell Wilson, who recently departed the Steelers—significantly altered the landscape. Adding to the uncertainty are persistent rumors and discussions regarding Rodgers' potential retirement.

Furthermore, there were earlier indications that Rodgers had interest in joining the Minnesota Vikings. However, the Vikings appeared to dismiss this possibility, expressing their commitment to developing their first-round draft pick from the previous year, JJ McCarthy. "They didn't close the door completely, that's the thing," Hawk responded.
