Steelers' Jalen Ramsey Absolutely Goes Off On Ja'Marr Chase And Accuses Him Of Disgusting Act: "F*** That"

The Pittsburgh Steelers got a key division win in Week 11 as they defeated the Cincinnati Bengals by a final score of 34-12. It was close for most of the contest, but two defensive touchdowns in the second half were more than enough to put it out of reach. The defense overall played its best game of the season as it slowed down one of the hottest offenses in the NFL up until this point. There were still issues that need to be cleaned up, but there should never be many complaints about a 22-point win.

Late in the contest, safety Jalen Ramsey repeatedly got heated with Bengals' receiver Ja'Marr Chase. The end result of all that was the veteran defensive back getting ejected for what was described as "throwing a punch." Despite that, the defense held strong and even got a scoop-and-score without him on the field later on. After the matchup, Ramsey went off on Chase via the media, and he even accused the star wideout of spitting on him.

"I'm always going to be all for trash-talking, sh*t-talking, stuff like that," Ramsey said. "I actually enjoy that part of the game; I think people know that... We were talking sh*t, which I'm cool with, but as soon as he spit, it was, 'F*ck that.'"

There was a lot of speculation from the fans that Ramsey was spit on. Right before he threw a punch or grabbed Chase's facemask (however one wants to interpret that), Ramsey's head visibly moved back like something happened, even though the receiver never even raised his arms. It's hard to tell from the video if Chase did actually spit, but if that's the case, the officials missed it, and the wideout should have been ejected.

If Chase did spit on Ramsey, then his reaction makes total sense. There are very few things as disrespectful and disgusting as what Chase allegedly did on the field, and wanting to fight is actually a very normal way to feel after something like that. Trash talking is more than acceptable, especially with the veteran defensive back's history on that front. Chase's alleged approach was just the wrong way to run his mouth, though.

Chase's frustrations were understandable as well, but that is no excuse for what he potentially did. Between Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr., and James Pierre, the Steelers held the superstar wideout to just three receptions for 30 yards on 10 targets, and one of those catches came on the final drive, when the game was already over. That game was nothing like his historical game back in Week 7.

Early in the game, Ramsey also had a huge hit on Chase. The ball was incomplete, but the safety was already flying in to make the play, and he just so happened to finish it. No flag was thrown on that play. That set the table for everything that unfolded in the fourth quarter. Both players will most likely get fined, and suspensions may or may not be on the table at this point.

Steelers' Defense Got Revenge After Embarrassing Performance

Back in Week 7, the Steelers allowed 33 points in a big loss to Cincinnati, and every piece of the defense was highly criticized. Chase had 16 receptions on 23 targets, as he was wide open all game long. The coaching and the execution were all horrible. This time, however, everyone showed up and made sure that that type of performance would not happen again.
