Dan McCullers has just been signed by the Chicago Bears. The nose tackle was all but assured of a roster slot in the NFL when the Pittsburgh Steelers terminated his practice squad contract yesterday.
The Bears have a need at that position after losing their nose tackle John Jenkins with an injured thumb. It appears to be torn ligament and they will probably place him on injured reserve today to make room on the roster for McCullers.
