Tuesday, Hines Ward turns 46 years young. We here at SteelerNation.com want to wish him the happiest of birthdays and take this time to show our appreciation for the Pittsburgh Steelers' legend.
Ward was originally drafted in the third round of the 1998 draft out of Georgia. Ward would be a crucial piece to the Steelers puzzle as they would go on to win two Super Bowls with Ward starting at wide receiver. He would become MVP of Super Bowl XL after hauling in 5 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown. He would be voted to 4 Pro Bowls, and finish his career with 12723 all purpose yards. He ranks number one in Steelers team history for receptions and yards.

Ward continued to bring his lunch pale to work every day and fight for a roster spot as the Steelers tried to replace him with first round draft picks Troy Edwards, and Plaxico Burress in 1999, and 2000. Ward would out last them all enroute to becoming the Steelers All-Time leading receiver. And we'd be remiss if we left out the fact that he did it all with a huge smile on his face.
Thank you for the memories, Hines! These are just some of our favorite highlights below.
