Happy Birthday, Jerome Bettis: The Best of "The Bus"

Wednesday, Jerome "The Bus" Bettis turns the big 5-0. We here at SteelerNation.com want to wish him the happiest of birthdays and take this time to show our appreciation for the Pittsburgh Steelers' legend and Hall of Famer.

Bettis was originally drafted 10th overall out of Notre Dame by the Los Angeles Rams in the 1993 NFL Draft before being traded to Pittsburgh in 1996. He eventually became a 6x Pro Bowler and currently sits at No. 8 on the NFL's all-time rushing list.

Bettis earned the nickname "The Bus" because of his size and bruising downhill running style. He blessed the Steelers with 10 seasons of hard-nosed football and ended up with a Super Bowl XL victory in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
