Quarterback Josh Dobbs is re-signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers on a one-year deal per his agent Mike McCartney. The Steelers originally drafted Dobbs in the 4th round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

In September 2019, the Steelers traded him to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a 5th round pick. About a year later, Dobbs was waived by the Jaguars and claimed by the Steelers. This signing seems to cemented the quarterback group heading into the summer adding Dobbs and Dwayne Haskins to a battle for the third spot behind Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph.
