The Pittsburgh Steelers have just activated Justin Layne from the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Layne was on the list for about two weeks, as he was placed on the list back on July 29th.

In a corresponding roster move, the Steelers have released Breon Borders, a fourth year cornerback out of Duke who was signed back in April 2020.

Going into his second season, Layne will be expected to make strides with his performance in 2020. Layne primarily played on special teams last season and will be trying to earn a key depth spot in the Steelers secondary in addition to his special teams responsibilities.

Keep checking back for the latest updates as the Steelers continue to move through training camp!
