Today Maurkice Pouncey posted a screenshot on his Instagram account (@MaurkicePouncey) to clear the air on him and the rest of the Pittsburgh Steelers wearing Antwon Rose’s name on the back of their helmet.
There is been a lot of chatter from Steelers fans and the media about the teams decision to wear Rose’s name, as well as Alejandro Villanueva’s decision to support a fallen veteran.
With all of that going around, Pouncey felt the need to speak out and explain his side of the story to us. Pouncey has always been an integral part of the communities he is a part of, and he explains that in this post.
With all of the diverse opinions across the country, all of the social issues will continue to be a hot topic throughout the season. One thing for sure is, the Steelers organization will always put their best foot forward, being a first class and one of the best organizations in sports.
