The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without their 8 time Pro Bowl and 5 time All-Pro center today. Maurkice Pouncey has been placed on the Covid 19 Reserve List and will not play in the game today against the Baltimore Ravens.
It is only fair because the Ravens are missing both rostered centers and their long snapper, so today will feature centers on both sides of the ball with very little NFL experience.
JC Hassenauer has 26 snaps in relief on offense this year. He was an undrafted rookie free agent in 2018 when he was signed by the Atlanta Falcons after 57 starts at Alabama. He also played a season with the Birmingham Iron in the AAF.
We will see if that Iron is hardened into Steel today on the field.
