On Wednesday the NFL announced the nominees for the Hall of Fame's Class of 2021. The list includes several Pittsburgh Steelers from the 2000's.

Making the nomination for the modern era players are LB Joey Porter, WR Hines Ward, TE Heath Miller, G Alan Faneca, and NT Casey Hampton.

Ward and Faneca have been nominated for five straight years, while the rest will be first timers.

Long time kicker Gary Anderson is also a nominee. Anderson kicked for the Steelers from 1982-1994 before being replaced by Norm Johnson.

The list of nominees consists of 130 players that will be cut to 25 in November when the semi-finalists are announced. From there they will cut to 15 finalists with the enshrinees being chosen the Saturday prior to the Super Bowl.

Bill Nunn was selected as the Contributor Finalist for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2021.

More to come.
