On Wednesday the Steelers came to terms with exclusive rights free agent Matt Feiler.
"It's good to get it done," said Feiler. "Any time you can get it taken care of, it's a good thing."
Feiler played in 5 games for the Steelers this season, including a start during week 17 against the Browns.
He has spent the majority of his time on the Steelers practice squad over the last three seasons. He was promoted to the active roster for a few weeks in 2016 before keeping his spot on the 2017 roster.
With Chris Hubbard likely heading to the highest bidder the Steelers could not afford to lose anymore offensive line depth. Feiler and Jerald Hawkins will battle for that sixth lineman spot that the Steelers like to use in run situations. Both saw some time in that position while Marcus Gilbert missed time this season.
