Thursday, the Pittsburgh Steelers got a much welcomed sight back to the team as their All-Pro safety, Minkah Fitzpatrick was a full participant at practice after missing last Sunday's game with appendicitis. He was seen running individual drills, indicating his chances of playing this coming Sunday against the division rival, Cincinnati Bengals, are increasing.

"That's wild. Great sign for Minkah Fitzpatrick to play after missing just one game with appendicitis," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted out.

Appendicitis occurs when the appendix becomes inflamed and filled with pus according to MayoClinic.org. Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix, a finger-shaped pouch that projects from your colon on the lower right side of your abdomen. Appendicitis causes pain in your lower right abdomen. Yinz might remember that former Pittsburgh quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger underwent emergency appendix surgery just days before the team's season opener in 2006. He missed the game, but managed to return in time for the team's second game.
As far as other practice participants on Thursday, cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon and offensive lineman, Jesse Davis did not practice. Defensive lineman, Larry Ogunjobi, and offensive lineman, Kevin Dotson were limited. Linebackers, Devin Bush and Marcus Allen, running back, Najee Harris, and offensive lineman, Trent Scott, were all full participants.
Defensive captains, Cam Heyward and TJ Watt had the day off.
