Monday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced their first player to be placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list for 2020. Third year defensive back, Arrion Springs was the designated player, and precautionary measures have immediately been put into place.
Springs was signed as a free agent on April 16, 2020 and previously played for the L.A. Wildcats in the 2020 XFL season. Springs entered the NFL out of Oregon as an undrafted free agent, originally signing with the Kansas City Chiefs following the 2018 NFL Draft.
It is unclear as to whether Springs has tested positive for COVID-19, or whether he has just simply entered quarantine per team policy.
More to come.
We have placed DB Arrion Springs on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
