Bell has reportedly told friends that his playing days in the NFL are now over and that he wants to focus on boxing now. Last season Bell signed with the Baltimore Ravens after they suffered several injuries at the position. After 5 games the Ravens released Bell. He would later sign with Tampa Bay, but only received 8 rushing attempts before he was again released.

Peterson spent 9 seasons with Minnesota before bouncing around the league for the past couple of seasons. Peterson started two games last year for the Tennessee Titans after Derek Henry went down with an injury. He was released after his third game. He was picked up by the Seattle Seahawks but was there for one game.

30-year-old Bell, and 37-year old Peterson will be part of YouTube superstar Austin McBroom's Social Gloves event in Los Angeles. The website says this about the event.

Over a year in the making, social media superstars Austin McBroom and Gib meet in the squared circle to settle the score at Social Gloves: No More Talk. Featuring celebrity athletes from the world of sports, music, and social media participating alongside a stacked undercard of professional boxing, Social Gloves: No More Talk will bring the greatest collection of today’s boxing personalities under one roof.
