The Steelers have set their practice squad for the time being as they have signed ten players who they released yesterday to the squad.
The roster is headlined by 2017 draft choices linebacker Keion Adams, and cornerback Brian Allen. Allen made the roster last season, but a crowded, healthy cornerback room this season let the Steelers carry one less corner. Adams missed the entire 2017 season, but had a strong showing during the preseason. He recovered two fumbles and showed consistent pressure on the quarterback. He will get more time to marinate on the practice squad. He was beaten out by undrafted free agent Ola Adeniyi for a roster spot.
Running back Jarvion Franklin, receiver Trey Griffey, tight end Bucky Hodges, defensive end Lavon Hooks, linebacker Farrington Huguenin, receiver Tevin Jones, center Patrick Morris and offensive lineman R.J. Prince we're also signed.
The team also will keep tight end Christian Scotland-Williamson who won't count towards the ten man practice squad. Scotland-Williamson is part of the NFLs international player pathway program. Every team in the AFC North has a player in this situation.
