As rookie camp kicked off today for the Pittsburgh Steelers, so did more transactional moves for the franchise in preparation for the 2022 regular season.

Friday, Pittsburgh signed offensive lineman, Trent Scott, to a one-year contract. To make room on the 90-man roster, the team elected to waive offensive guard, Malcolm Pridgeon.

Scott originally spent two years with the Los Angeles Chargers from 2018 to 2019, and two years with the Carolina Panthers from 2020 to 2021. He's played in 53 games in those four seasons total with 19 starts.

Pridegon, 27, had a year of experience in the NFL after he went undrafted out of Ohio State.

More to come.
