PITTSBURGH, PA - Earlier this week, the signing of Mark Barron could've been the official end for Steelers' current safety, Morgan Burnett. Sources have reported that Burnett will be released by the team by April 1, 2019. Burnett has made it known over the last few weeks that he's wanted out of Pittsburgh do to his "hybrid" role on defense, and it looks like he'll finally get his wish.

It’s unclear to Morgan’s Burnett’s reps as to why Burnett can’t be released now based on what they were told -- no clear-cut accounting issue they know about to date. Steelers have around $7M in cap space b/f Mark Barron's deal on books. Also have Big Ben's looming deal
