The Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 10 after a much needed bye week. It appears as if dominant edge rusher, T.J. Watt and safety, Damontae Kazee should both return from IR and play on Sunday. Typically, players participation on Fridays gives us a good idea about who will suit up on game day. Other than the two players returning from an extended absence, the most recent injury report provided plenty of positive updates for Mike Tomlin's team ahead of a must win game.

Defensive lineman, Larry Ogunjobi and linebacker, Myles Jack were both full participants and barring any setbacks, should be good to go. Both of their participation along with the expected returns of Watt and Kazee should display a completely different, and hopefully be more effective than it has been recently.
Recently acquired, William Jackson III will not be playing this weekend and Ahkello Witherspoon will also miss the game against the Saints with a hamstring injury. This means that Levi Wallace is likely to get the start in Pittsburgh on Sunday. It was James Pierre who replaced Witherspoon in the Week 8 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, but with Wallace healthy again, it looks like he will get another chance to help the defense with an increased role with the two guys in front of him out.
#Steelers injury status for Saints game:
— Josh Rowntree (@JRown32) November 11, 2022
OUT: William Jackson III (back), Ahkello Witherspoon (hamstring)
QUESTIONABLE: Kevin Dotson (abdomen), Malik Reed (personal reasons)
Dotson was added to injury report today. @937theFan
On the offensive side of things, a new injury appeared on the report as left guard, Kevin Dotson is now questionable with an abdomen injury. We could see second-year guard, Kendrick Green active if Dotson is unable to go. Green would not start as Jesse Davis who was acquired in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings would be first in line to be the team's starting left guard against New Orleans.

Linebacker, Malik Reed missed practice again, although due to personal reasons. Because it is not injury related, assuming everything is okay on his end, he could very well be active. However, with Watt due to return, Reed's role may decrease significantly.
Most of the injury news ahead of Sunday's contest is good and the Steelers should be fairly close to full strength. There is no more margin for error this season if the organization wants any chance at the playoffs. The reinforcements will certainly lead to a more competitive effort.
